Principal Ideas about Script

Reachbacks, Afterburns, Psychological Trading Stamps (PTS), Undisposed Experiences, Emotional Hypes, Transactional Rackets, Psychological Time Engagements, Game Engagements, Feeling Rackets are the principal contributors in keeping script going. They stoke the fire of script by providing the fodder of Script. The least we can do is use the gift of cybernetics to significantly weaken the grip of script and influence the progress of script and even the script goal itself 

Reach-back : Reach-back is defined as that period of time during which an impending event begins to have an independent influence on the individual's behavior. 

After-burn is defined as that period of time during which a past event has an independent influence on the individual's behavior. In some way, each past event does influence behavior, but after-burn refers only to those occasions when it disturbs normal patterns for an appreciable period rather than being assimilated into them or excluded from them by repression and other psychological mechanisms.

They both together deprive us of using the ongoing moment for normal life free of stress or tension. A good example is the state of mind of worrying parents who keep thinking 'what if' about their child's performance at an exam. They together generate psychological time. 

Log-jam / logjam is a mass of logs that are floating on a river and blocking it and preventing flow of water. (Like a blocked kitchen or bathroom drain pipe). A difficult situation in which one cannot make progress easily because there are too many things to do. 

I used it in the sense that an event creates unending engagement with thinking and related emotional hype about it. Not only that, it also denies us the opportunity to use the time for other purposes because it seizes our sanity in the service of script.

Down-spin / downspin does the same thing like log-jam by using the route of a whirlpool. It is also similar to an extremely swift acute drop or downturn of events. Like what COVID did to the world in a jiffy. The whole of humanity was affected - so does the individual. Also the untimely death of a breadwinner in a family gets people's lives to get affected lasting months if not years.

They all together with transactional rackets produce psychological trading stamps (PTS). PTS is the fodder of script. Games and thinking-feeling rackets are the crops we harvest for producing them.

Though they show up as bits and pieces their cumulative effect is creating an event best explained by the term 'climbing up the steps and jumping down the window.
